Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival in Belgrade

Arrival in Belgrade. Transfer to the hotel.
Walking tour with your local guide: Old Town, Republic Square, Knez Mihalova street and Kalemegdan fortress. We will visit the Ružica Church located in the fortress and dating from 19th century. We will keep on strolling in the Dorcol quarter and will have lunch in a restaurant in the bohemian Skadarlija quarter, said to be the “Montmartre of Belgrade”.
This afternoon, we will visit the Temple of Saint Sava, the Nikola Tesla museum, the famous american-Serbian scientist known for his works on electricity.
Return to the hotel.Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2. Belgrade

We will visit the National museum which is reopened after 10 years of reconstruction works and we will discover its rich archaeological and art collections. After that we will visit the archaeological pre-historic site of Vinca located in the outskirts of Belgrade near the river Danube.
Return to Belgrade in order to discover the quarter of Zemun located on right bank of the Danube river.
Lunch in a restaurant with fish specialties.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Old Town of Zemun known for its austro-hungarian architecture, the Saint-Nicolas Church, the Gardos tower, the ancient cemetery. We will close our day with the visit of the Contemporary Art Museum.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 3. Belgrade

Today we will go to the mountain Avala (511m high). We will see the Monument of the Unknown Hero (WWI) and visit the Avala Tower (204m high) which is positioned on the top of the mountain and offering a spectacular view on the capital and the surroundings.
Return to Belgrade and visit of the museum of Yougoslavia.
Lunch in the oldest Belgrade restaurant « ? » (Question mark), established in 1823.
After the lunch, we will visit the orthodox cathedrale Saborna Crkva and the Princess Ljubica`s Residence. We will finish our day with the boat cruise on the Sava and Danube rivers.
Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 4. Belgrade

This morning we will visit the Royal Residence of the Karadjordjević royal family. The complex is composed of the royal palace, the white palace and the royal chapel. It was built in the 1920th and was the residence of the royal family until 1941.
Lunch in a restaurant.
This afternoon we will visit the Ethnographic museum which houses a wide collection of traditional costumes, old daily life objects, jewelry, furniture which will help us to appreciate the cultural diversity of Serbia.
Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Free time and transfer to the Airport.
